- London Eye – Located on the South Bank of the River Thames, this enormous Ferris wheel offers breathtaking views of central London. A complete rotation inside one of the enclosed, air-conditioned passenger capsules takes about 30 minutes and includes interactive guides in several languages. The capsules have a capacity of 25 people, and guests can choose to sit down or walk around inside. The wheel doesn’t usually stop to for passengers because the slow rotation rate allows passengers to board and exit the moving capsules at ground level. However, it will stop for elderly or disabled passengers to get on and off safely. Visit the London Eye 4D Experience at the beginning of your visit. This 4-minute show is included with admission. Last year, Coca-Cola agreed to sponsor the London Eye for two years, so as of January of this year, it is now known as the Coca-Cola London Eye.
- Big Ben and Elizabeth Tower – One of the top tourist attractions in London, and one of the most recognized symbols of London and the UK. The clock tower, also known as Elizabeth Tower, is over 150 years old. Big Ben is the nickname of the 13-ton Great Bell inside the tower. It was likely named after Sir Benjamin Hall, a British civil engineer, who oversaw its installation. The current bell was made in 1858 to replace the original 16-ton bell that cracked and couldn’t be repaired. Big Ben and Elizabeth Tower tours are only available to UK residents and are not open to overseas visitors. However, international guests can get tickets for several other tours at the Houses of Parliament, and observe Elizabeth Tower from Parliament Square while listening to Big Ben’s distinctive chimes.

- Tower of London – Built in 1078 by William the Conqueror. It was a prison from 1100 to 1952. The phrase “sent to the tower” meant imprisonment. Now the tower is one of London’s most popular attractions. Be sure to see the British Crown Jewels on display. And don’t miss Royal Beast to learn about the exotic animals that lived in the tower. Tours are included with admission, depart every 30 minutes near the main entrance, and last about an hour.
- Westminster Abbey – Gothic-style coronation church located near the Palace of Westminster. At over 700 years old, it attracts more than a million visitors each year. The hour-long audio tour is free with admission and available in over 10 languages. Verger-led tours of the Abbey are offered in English for individuals and groups of no more than 20 people. The cost is £5 in addition to the entry fee. Tour length is approximately 90 minutes and includes the Shrine, the Royal Tombs, Poets’ Corner, the Cloisters, and the Nave.
