Maldives Welcomes Plaza Premium Lounge
When you think of one of the VIP lounges you’ve been to, you’re certain to think of class, relaxation, and perhaps, luxury. In keeping with such tradition, the world’s newest lounge at Ibrahim Nasi International Airport (INIA) in Maldives exhibits only the best. Hong Kong-based Plaza Premium Lounge Management Ltd. worked their magic yet again to provide a polished, yet home-like atmosphere for those passing through.
For $150 reservation, VVIP guests are treated like royalty. Upon arrival, guests are relieved of their luggage at a private security screening and their flights are monitored and schedules arranged by the lounge concierge. During their wait, members can take advantage of the open kitchen and care, wi-fi, multiple televisions, and spacious seating.
Unlike most lounges, which are associated with specific airline or lounge memberships, Plaza Premium prides itself as being the world’s first company to develop “pay in” lounges. Currently, the company services 18 international airports and 60 countries with infrastructure improvement.
As Maldives is primarily a resort location, the island population hailed the new lounge as a success, finding it an excellent initial welcome and final goodbye to their many esteemed visitors. Furthermore, Plaza Premium was only given four months to design and renovate the space and was informed that the entire area would undergo demolition in less than two years time.
