Finnair Surprises Passengers with Bollywood Routine
We fly business class because we want our travel to be as stress free as possible. Corporate meetings, packed agendas and a volatile economy give us enough to worry about that when we step onto a plane, we simply want to make it to our seats and relax.
A significant part of our on-board experience comes directly from the flight attendants. We all know that these individuals can either make or break a flight; A great steward(ess) has the magical ability to make tornado turbulence seem like little more than a few waves on the ocean. Recently, Finnair’s stewards gave their on-board guests a very upbeat, albeit unique, experience!
Reminiscent of Air New Zeeland’s incredible knack for amping up their passengers, as well as their keen use of Youtube, Finnair decided to celebrate India’s 63rd Republic Day by treating their passengers to a live Bollywood performance! Choreographed over the course of a few weeks and complete with authentic Indian dress, flight attendant Helena Kaartinen told the New York Times, “It was a good way to show respect.” The Helsinki-Dubai flight was certainly a memorable one for those onboard, but had passengers around the world exclaiming “That’s what I call service!”
