Dreamliner Setting New Standards

Posted By Wilton0 Comments

After three years of delays, mitigation, and an estimated $32 billion in expenditures, Boeing has finally fulfilled their contract with All Nippon Airways of Japan in delivery the worlds first Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The keys will officially be handed over in a grandiose event this morning in Everett, Washington at the 787 factory. The plane already vaunts the full decorum of ANA and will soar into the skies tomorrow morning at 6:35 PT.

The Dreamliner is the epitome of streamlined designing, user friendliness, and strategic improvement. Among a whole slew of industry firsts, the plane boasts tall entryways and overhead bins, high cabin humidity systems to reduce dryness, and the largest windows in the industry. Furthermore, it includes specially designed systems that reduce noise and turbulence.

Boeing’s Regional Director of Passenger Satisfaction and Revenue for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Kent Craver, and Differentiation Strategy Director, Blake Emery, considered new design features of the Dreamliner to “improve harmony inside the cabin.” Emery added, “In the past, things either worked or looked good; this plane is designed for both.”

All Nippon is so pleased with the initial Dreamliners, regardless of the wait, that their Senior Vice-President, Satoru Fujiki, announced that they expect another 55 Dreamliners to be delivered by the end of 2017. If we’re lucky, other airlines will begin to catch on to such luxuries within the coming years as well!
