The Charm of Brussels

Posted By Wilton0 Comments

Brussels is a fantastic city to visit that we feel is overlooked far too often! As Belgium and the EU’s capital, it has plenty to do and see. Whether you’re merely passing through or have extended business there, below are a few recommendations to keep you entertained during your stay.

If you’re looking for somewhere unique and trendy to stay on a business trip, you simply can’t ignore the black and white piece de resistance that is Be Manos. Located a short walk away from Gare du Midi Station and offering a complimentary shuttle, this hip locale offers spacious rooms, spa facilities and a bar that visitors can’t help but rave about. One recent traveler commented on the audience-generated site TripAdvisor, “Everything was vacuumed and polished to perfection. It really was amazing.”

Although the hotel is amazing, take a stroll to one of myriad restaurants available in Brussels for your dining experience. Bypass the widely touted Grand Place and it’s loudly harping wait staff, as it’s much more of an overpriced tourist trap than a true cuisine dream. Rather try any of these, all located nearby, in the shadow of Grand Place: Comme Chez Soi, Lecailler du Palais Royal, or Bonsior Clara One. Of course, we recommend trying Belgium’s renowned mussels and chips!

For a bit of general site seeing we highly recommend the Museum of MusicalInstruments, the easily recognizable Atomium, or the Comic Book Museum. However, if you have a few days, consider purchasing a rail pass and experiencing some of the charming, albeit magnificent, villages a short ride outside of Brussels.
